HI. I'm Madisson. My husband, John and our son, Grant just moved to the area from Monterey, CA. I'm originally from VA (Virginia Tech grad) and my husband was born in Alaska but (mostly) grew up in the Seattle area. He is a Naval officer and we're here for three years while he works at Scott Airforce base. Grant is two years old and is just a sweetheart. We have a wonderful baby sitter for fancier nights out on the town because, after all, his is two. Wink We also enjoy getting together with other friends who have kids and having a BBQ on the grill.

We're hoping to meet some other people in the area who love to dine out, entertain and cook. We love to throw parties. We love wine and martinis and really good food. I get a lot of recipes from recipezaar.com . If you haven't been to their site, you should try it. Members rate the different recipes and it's really fun. Some of my favorite things to cook are Southern Food, Italian and I'd like to experiment some with Greek and Indian food. We also have lots of fun with appetizer parties and wine tastings (pairing the foods with the different wines).

We are very happy to have found this group. It might be small now, but I can see this growing and growing.

Take care.

Madisson

Hey Madi!

Glad to see you made it. Looking forward to reading your recipes that you posted. We have used recipezaar and allrecipes.com for many things as well. I am a HUGE fan of Alton Brown and his methods of cooking.

See you soon.

Steve
